Dangerous Goods Awareness

Dangerous Goods Regulations. Require that specific training must be given to any person engaged in the consigning, loading, unloading and the transportation of dangerous goods no matter what mode of transport is utilised.

The operator, consigner, and any other person involved in the carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road, Sea or Air shall ensure that he and those of his employees whose responsibilities are concerned with such carriage receive training so as to enable them to discharge those responsibilities.

Each employer shall keep a record of any training provided by him and shall make available a copy of that record to the employee concerned.
