The Department for Transport is responsible for the implementation in the UK of the European Community Directive 96/35/EC. Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) Regulations
This Directive is about the appointment of Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers (DGSA) for undertakings involved in the carriage of dangerous goods by road.
It requires organisations involved in the transport or related loading or unloading of Dangerous Goods by Road, to appoint one or more Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers (DGSA).
Before their appointment, a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser DGSA must gain a Vocational Training Certificate by passing approved examinations.
Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) Revalidation and Initial training.
For candidates wishing to gain or renew their existing DGSA qualification, we conduct a 5 day initial course and a 2 day refresher course, if you have not used the regulations regulary you may decide to book on the 5 day initial course.
The course covers: Core, Road and All Classes.
The Department for Transport (DfT) is responsible for the approval of the examinations and it has appointed the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) as its agent.

Examination fees are approximately: £260.00 for three exams on the same day.
