Dangerous Goods elearning

We have developed an interactive e-Learning programme for those involved with Dangerous Goods; it is of high quality to ensure the optimum learning experience for the candidate.

We have custom built our computer based e-learning package thus creating a tailored course covering the specific needs of your staff as required in the various Dangerous Goods Regulations.

The programme is straight forward to use and accessible from anywhere with internet access, whenever required. Candidates will be assessed at the end of the course and upon successful completion users will be awarded a training record in the form of a certificate.

These awareness courses will ensure your staff are up to date and compliant in the transportation and handling of Dangerous Goods.

The courses are sufficient for Managers,Supervisors,Drivers,Handlers and Dispatchers who require a specific knowledge of the rules relating to limitations for transporting dangerous goods, taking advantage of the Expected and Limited Quantity limits and transport categories.

This training covers the basics for Road/Sea/Air with emphasis on identification/load limits and safety.

The training must be periodically supplemented with refresher training to take account of changes in regulations.

The United Nations has developed what is known as the Model Regulations to ensure all who are directly or indirectly concerned with the transport of dangerous goods carry out their responsibilities safely.

The Model Regulations cover the principles of:

  • Classification and definitions of classes
  • Listing of the principal Dangerous Goods
  • General packing requirements
  • Testing procedures
  • Marking Labelling or placarding
  • Transport documents

There are, in addition, special requirements related to particular classes of goods.

You can decide when to undertake the training. We suggest you complete it in one sitting. If you do this you’ll need approximately 1.5 hours for the Supervisor/Manager course and approximately 1 hour to complete the Drivers Handlers and Dispatchers course.

You can also work through the course in smaller sections. If you exit the course before you’ve completed it, once you return back to it, it will give you the option either to resume from where you left off or to start from the beginning again. The choice is yours.
