Known Consignor Training
Known Consignors are now required to undertake more staff checks, training and tighter security controls to be compliant with EC300. This in the world of Aviation Cargo Security is a good thing and brings the Known Consignor in line with the required security control, but it also brings further expense and monitoring of compliance.
The questions that we, as a training company are being asked is how much will it cost for the training and when can you do it!
The question you should be asking yourselves is – Do we really need to be a Known Consignor? If the answer is “yes”, then we would be more than pleased to conduct this training for you at our training centre or at your venue. The DfT are suggesting Level G for the person responsible for security at each site and Level D for all staff that have access to identifiable air cargo, this includes drivers if they handle the secure goods.
If the answer is “not sure”, then you must decide if your needs are to remain as a Known Consignor or if you decide to give up Known Consignor status, you may wish to negotiate with your Freight Forwarder (regulated agent) for screening to make your goods secure (SPX).
We can offer training in house or at our Training Centre near Heathrow, the costs for training at our centre are published on our web site.
Training at your venue could be a negotiated day rate for further details please call
