Dangerous Goods Awareness - Road/Sea/Air
This training covers the basics for Road/Sea/Air with emphasis on identification/load limits and safety. The training shall be periodically supplemented with refresher training to take account of changes in regulations.
Model Regulations
The United Nations has developed what is known as the Model Regulations to ensure all who are directly or indirectly concerned with the transport of dangerous goods carry out their responsibilities safely.
The Model Regulations cover the principles of:
Classification and definitions of classes.
Listing of the principal Dangerous Goods.
The general packing requirements.
Testing procedures.
Marking Labelling or placarding.
Transport documents.
Special requirements
There are, in addition, special requirements related to particular classes of goods. You can decide when to undertake the training. We suggest you complete it in one sitting, if you do, we estimate you'll need about 1 hour to complete the course. You can also work through the course in smaller sections. If you exit the course before you've completed it, on returning, it will give you the option either to restart from where you left, or return to the beginning to start again. The choice is yours. This training will assist you to remain compliant in your job role.
