Dangerous Goods Awareness - Road/Sea/Air 

This training covers the basics for Road/Sea/Air with emphasis on identification/load limits and safety. The training shall be periodically supplemented with refresher training to take account of changes in regulations 
 

Model Regulations 

The United Nations has developed what is known as the Model Regulations to ensure all who are directly or indirectly concerned with the transport of dangerous goods carry out their responsibilities safely. 
 
The Model Regulations cover the principles of: 
Classification and definitions of classes 
Listing of the principal Dangerous Goods 
The general packing requirements 
Testing procedures 
Marking Labelling or placarding 
Transport documents 

Special requirements 

There are, in addition, special requirements related to particular classes of goods. You can decide when to undertake the training. We suggest you complete it in one sitting, if you do, we estimate you'll need about 1 hour to complete the course. You can also work through the course in smaller sections. If you exit the course before you've completed it, on returning it will give you the option either to restart from where you left, or return to the beginning to start again. The choice is yours. This training will assist you to remain compliant in your job role.

Staff involved in the handling, storage, and transport of dangerous goods by air 
 
Category 4/5 Dangerous Goods Awareness Training programme. As part of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, all staff involved in the handling, storage and transport of dangerous goods by air are required to complete Dangerous Goods Awareness Training in Line with Category 4 and 5, We estimate you will need about 1 hour to complete the course.

The UK Civil Aviation Authority requires that those involved in the shipment, packing, and acceptance of consignments of dangerous goods by air transport to be successfully trained at an approved course. Training Link are approved to conduct initial and refresher training, the course is approved to meet the legal requirements. 
Those personnel who have already received the 3 day Initial Dangerous Goods by Air (IATA Regulations) training must attend a Dangerous Goods by Air Revalidation training course within 24 months of the last certification, a test which entitles successful candidates to a certificate of competence valid for two years. 
 
However, there is now provision for a 3-month “window” that allows for recurrent training conducted within the final 3 months of the 24-month period to be considered to have been completed on the expiry date of the 24-month period. 
 
The course will enable candidates to:

Spills Training 

Spills Training Programme 

Training has been designed with first responders in mind Training Dates are arranged subject to requirements, to make a booking enquiry add this course to the Booking Cart and then select the number of places you require. This training has been designed with first responders in mind. In general, containment is the first immediate action required, subsequent action will involve donning of PPE and the correct application of absorbent’s that are available to you. The course can be modified to suit supervisors or management. Safety is a requirement and training is essential. The Training includes: Identifying potential pollution incidents a brief understanding of the legislative requirements the use of spill kits, with containment in mind, in the case of small spillages clean-up techniques health & safety PPE. Practical use of spill kits, containment methods. 
 
Clean-up strategy first containment, including communication to management as to flow path. Spill management each person will be given a task that will need managing as a spill develops, team role play provides understanding for management and operation tasks. The European Union Commission Regulation (EU) No 185/2010, Section 11.4.1 requires persons operating X-ray or Explosive Detection System (EDS) equipment shall be subject to recurrent training consisting of image recognition training and testing. This training shall take the form of: (a) classroom and/or computer based training (CBT) or (b) on-the-job Threat Image Projection (TIP) training. 

Known Consignor Training 

We have developed an interactive e-Learning programme for Known Consignors that is of high quality to ensure the optimum learning experience for the candidate. We have custom built our computer based learning package thus creating a tailored course covering the specific needs of the CAA so candidates will only be taught what they need to know.
