Please note that Cat 4/5 courses and Cat 12 are NOT acceptable for the staff of Shippers and Packers, Freight forwarders, or Operators and Ground Handling Agents who are responsible for the consignment and acceptance of dangerous goods by air, these staff members will have to attend the full CAA/IATA approved Dangerous Goods by Air course.

Staff involved in the handling, storage, and transport of dangerous goods by air
Category 4/5 Dangerous Goods Awareness Training programme. As part of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, all staff involved in the handling, storage and transport of dangerous goods by air are required to complete Dangerous Goods Awareness Training in Line with Category 4 and 5, We estimate you will need about 1 hour to complete the course.

Outcome:
On successful completion of this Cat12 course, security screeners, their supervisors and staff involved in implementing security procedures will be able to recognise dangerous goods in passengers baggage and cargo, mail or stores, to identify hidden and undeclared dangerous goods, also to understand the classification,
marking and labelling including provision for passenger and crew and finally how to act properly in an emergency situation.
